BUBLEGUM
TIRSO PAZ
Tirso Paz, known as Bublegum, was born in Galicia, Spain. He is a multidisciplinary artist and the visionary creator behind the Ornamental Style. He began painting walls at the age of 16, developing a practice that has evolved into an international career spanning large-scale murals, studio works, and digital creations. Entirely self-taught, his artistic development has also been influenced by disciplines such as tattooing and sculpture.
Through the Ornamental Style, Bublegum has developed a distinctive visual language that fuses natural elements with intricate filigree patterns. Inspired by the decorative façades of Baroque architecture, he reinterprets these elaborate ornamental motifs into a refined contemporary urban expression. The result is a series of eye-catching compositions that merge classical elegance with the energy and scale of street art, while also conveying a call for the protection of nature and the conservation of endangered species.
His work has been exhibited in international galleries such as Goldman Global Arts, Thinkspace Projects, Known Gallery, Aurum Gallery, and Wyn 317, while his murals can be found in cities around the world. Bublegum has collaborated with global brands including Revlon, Moxy Hotels, and TCL, as well as with renowned athletes such as Pau Gasol and major cultural projects like the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina. His work has also been commissioned by public institutions including the Comunidad de Madrid and the city of Blanes.
Within the urban art scene, he has participated in prestigious mural festivals and initiatives such as Wynwood Walls, North West Walls, and the Beaumont Mural Festival, among others, while also engaging in educational and community-driven projects with students and educators alongside Beyond Walls in Lynn.
Beyond the art world, Bublegum has created visual projects for major music festivals including Insomniac, Elrow, Reggae rise up, Cruïlla Barcelona, and Rock Werchter.
Today, he continues to expand his artistic universe through large-scale murals and studio practice, constantly pushing the possibilities of his Ornamental Style while exploring new ways to merge detail, scale, and storytelling.
